We’re revolting.

taintradio + Marsh Woodwinds launch new concert series — First show: Thurs Aug 21

Raleigh-based taintradio and Marsh Woodwinds are pleased to announce a new concert
series. All performances will be at the new Marsh Woodwinds performance space at 707
North Person Street in Raleigh.
taintradio.org is an international alliance of independent producers whose combined
efforts are focused on providing music-based programming on the Internet on a 24/7
basis at taintradio.org. Programs currently originate from New York, Philadelphia,
London, Cambridge (MA), Augusta (GA) and Raleigh-Durham.

The taintradio-Marsh Woodwinds concert series, like taintradio itself, is not focused on
any particular genre of music. The intent is to present local and national artists whose
work we feel deserves greater public exposure in a “listening room” venue.

The concert series will begin on Thursday, August 21st with a concert by Dallas-based
singer/songwriter Lisa Markley, who is currently on a national tour in support of her
Soona Records release, “The Sky Is Blue and Sometimes Cries“.
Lisa Markley is a graduate of North Texas State University, where she majored in
composition, played trombone in the famous North Texas State lab bands, and performed
in area “biker bars” as a singer/songwriter. Her distinctive voice and songwriting skills
have earned her accolades.

“She defies category in pursuit of the perfect song.” - (Dick Crockett, “The Voice” 88.7 fm, Sacramento.)

This inaugural performance in the new taintradio-Marsh Woodwinds concert series will begin at 8:00 on Thursday, August 21st at Marsh Woodwinds, 707 North Person Street, Raleigh, NC 27604.

Door: $10. All proceeds go to the artist.
