Our first session comes from the beautiful bay of San Fransisco… Blame Sally have been playing in California for 10 years… now they are here… already causing a wave of delight… this harmonious vocal sound comes from four highly individually talented ladies… the music is fluid… rounded and leaves you wanting more… this is a roots songwriter session with loads of misty velvet overtones…..do not miss hour two.
The second session comes from a Wisconsin Americana troubadour… here in the snake pit studio for his second annual visit… Josh Harty finds those dark rooms you thought you’d bricked over… he gently gives then light… beautifully crafted and sung with ‘that’ voice. Session two is superb.
Our Record of the Week comes from the deep south of Ireland… between Cork and Waterford this guitarist has honed his craft to perfection and writes and sings from the top draw of the greats… he blew us away as a late session arrival three weeks ago… and now his first album is Record of the Week… with full justification. Marc O’Reilly is going to have a great career and ‘ My Friend Marx ‘ is a peach of a first release.
