FreeWorldNetworkRadio-X
Originally titled “Free World Network Radio” which is based on The Free World Network Party - a live music series and podcast of alternative music and interviews produced by yours truly. The live series ran from 1991 through 1999 off and on in NYC at various venues such as Fez, The Pyramid Club and The Knitting Factory. It featured artists such as Jorge Sylvester, Marque Gilmore (The InnaMost), Sharriff Simmons, Marc Edwards, Mathew Shipp and more. The sounds I play vary from the deepest funk to the most solemn praise music for the far east or est or south or north and whatever I might pick up during the journey - basically, my ears are wide open and l’m always looking for new expressive music with feeling. The flow of the show is really based on my feeling at the time of its creation although I do try and remain conscience of the potential listener…
FWNR is also an outlet for my commentary and show of appreciation for radio, the artistry and power of the Disc Jockey bka “the DJ” and the technology that allows us the power to communicate, be creative and share information with one another. So feel free to drop me a line sometimes at bruce.mack@taintradio.org and let me know what else is happening out there, up there, over there and any where… just like you, I care about the music and love to groove with it!
Big Up! To my nephew DJ Crazy Ed. He’s the best!
